Kaizer Chiefs captain Bernard Parker has come under scrutiny in the past couple of seasons at Naturena. As fans were questioning his role within the club; since they felt that he wasn’t doing what he brought to the side for and that’s scoring goals. There was a time whereby he finished approximately two campaigns without scoring a single goal. Even though he has been playing different positions at Chiefs, from being a striker that was turned into a midfielder. At times he was unlucky not to find the back of the net, as he put in the work to make sure that Chiefs win games.
Now, some Chiefs fans have stated that they’re well aware of what has affected his performance at Naturena. This follows after his graduation pictures were shared on social media. As it is believed that he got another degree in Sports Management. Parker is looking beyond his professional football career. As he’s in his late 30s and cannot play football forever. Hence, he has opted to study for some things that will help him with the transition of moving from being a footballer to something else within football.
*Dear (@aey_dear) said, “I was mad at My Captain for not hitting the net kanti has been busy scoring marks. Congratulations Lord Parker.”
*Call me Thabo (@Callmethaboo2nd) said, “At least we understand why he doesn’t score goals. He is busy study instead of practicing.”
The former Bafana Bafana international has shown that it’s never too late for anyone to study and age has nothing to do with being educated. He’s investing in himself, as he knows that getting educated will offer him options after retiring from playing football. All we can say is congratulations to the Chiefs skipper for his immense dedication, discipline, and hard work on and off the field.
*Dr. Loma Spoti (@ThomasKagisho) said, “Ke degree ya brace last game? Massive respect on the example you setting for the laitis, full integrity, always gives 100% and now demonstrates the importance of academia.”
*Ankestors (@anksestors) said, “Good example to his fans and community. Congratulations Mr. Parker.”
