They wouldn't be overly enthusiastic like their opponents, but they will try to correct a few errors and perhaps try to score get back on their groove.

Chiefs, meanwhile, will enter the match bouyed high expectations after their comprehensive 3-0 victory against Maritzburg United on Tuesday. A match in which they demonstrated what exactly they are all about.

The Glamour Boys will be seeking to end their 3 match winless streak against Downs, which ended in one loss and two draws.

The build-up to the game has been dominated by mild mental warfare from respective coaches. Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane stated his team will not be fazed by their glitzy opponents, and that they actually fear no team.

"We don’t have fear, we fear no one. If we are not going to go into that game and make mistakes, then we're not going to improve," Zwane was quoted as saying.

On the other hand, Downs' co-coach Rulani Mokwena, appeared to appreciate Zwane's comments and he indicated that he will make sure his team is fully prepared for the game.

"It is our responsibility, to make sure the team is prepared. So, when the team isn't prepared, we don't have enough hunger, we don't have enough aggression, then we have to look at our preparation because there's a big game on Saturday," Mokwena said.

The two giants of South African football have clashed in 76 league games. Chiefs have the upper hand with 31 victories to Sundowns’ 24, the other 21 matches that have ended in stalemates.
