Confirmed: Pitso’s boss at Al Ahly has been taken to hospital and here is why


Al Ahly has released an official statement with regards to their president Mahmoud Al-Khatib’s health concerns. As it was reported that he has been hospitalized, which was shocking and had Ahly supporters worried about their incredible leader. As Al-Khatib has been tasked with the difficult job of making sure the Club of the Century runs smoothly and wins trophies. 

Unfortunately, things haven’t been going according to under the wings of Pitso Mosimane recently at Ahly and this has seen Al-Khatib showing his disappointment towards the whole team. It hasn’t been easy trying to please the fans by winning trophies at all times, as they don’t want anything less than a victory at the moment. This will create an environment filled with pressure and the body might not take it on time. According to the statement, Al-Khatib is taken care of by doctors that are working on his health in hope that he fully recovers. At the moment several examinations and X-rays have been conducted to figure out the main cause for his sickness. 

On top of that Al-Khatib had an issue with his vision in the right eye. But he’s getting all the necessary medical help from Dr. Hazem Yassin and Dr. Ahmed Farhoud. As they’ve stated that he had been suffering from general fatigue due to high blood pressure and exposure to great pressure at Ahly. “The medical team treating Captain Mahmoud Al-Katib, president of the club, which includes Prof. Dr. Hazem Yassin and De. Ahmed Farhoud, revealed that his condition is reassuring after the multiple examinations and x-rays he conducted today in a major hospital, and that the illness he was exposed to yesterday was due to a short cycle,” read the Al Ahly official statement about Al-Khatib. “This leads to a problem with vision in the right eye, addition to general fatigue as a result of high blood pressure and exposure to great pressure.”
