Mamelodi Sundowns Boss Patrice Motsepe has confirmed who will take over from him at Chloorkop if he is elected as the President of the Confederation for African Football.
Speaking to the press earlier this week, Motsepe was asked if there was a succession plan at Sundowns if he was to be elected as the CAF President of March 2021.
The Mamelodi Sundowns Boss would respond by saying his "son" would take over. It is not clear as to who Motsepe was referring to as he is the father of three sons. But many people would then assume he was referring to Thlopie Motsepe, his son who share his middle name with.
The mining mogul revealed that if he is privileged to be elected as the CAF Boss he will have to step aside at Sundowns as he will be hoping to introduce fundamental changes in CAF. Motsepe further revealed that he can't be Sundowns President, if howsoever his team plays in the CAF final the referee make fun decisions it will just look bad.
Furthermore, Motsepe also revealed that according to his culture his son is suppose to talk over. His son will then be assisted by his mother and his brothers. He also revealed that the jersey of President will be retired until there's a new President at CAF, in which case he comes back.
Lastly the Sundowns President also revealed that DR Rejoice Simelane who also serves on the Sundowns Board will be elected as the Deputy President to back up his son.
