Top Soweto giant fails to pay salaries

The crunch times currently bedevilling South Africa seem to be making their way to the football fields.

A top DStv Premier Soccer League has reportedly failed to pay December players salaries in full.

This is according to a report in Phakaathi.

Thu publication states that some of the players were not paid their December salaries in full.

A source at the club stated that confidence and morale among the players is at its lowest.

“The players have been very quiet on the issues but a lot is happening and most are not so happy at the club. The recent departure of Vuyo Mere will also affect the team because he was the leader and protected the younger players in the team,” said the source.

Despite showing glimpses of promise in the 2020/21 season, Swallows have struggled for consistency this season.

They once fell in difficult times and they were on the brink of extinction. One hopes that not something that's about to happen.
