Official: Mabunda Leaves Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns have affirmed the exit of long-serving midfielder Tiyani Mabunda in front of their new DStv Premiership season.

Mabunda, 33, joined the club from Black Leopards back in 2013 and at first attempted to set up a good foundation for himself in the primary group and went out borrowed to Free State Stars.

Yet, he leaves following eight years with six group titles, the CAF Champions League, CAF Super Cup, Telkom Knockout, Nedbank Cup decorations and near 150 appearances to his name.

"For every one of the long periods of administration, for every one of the prizes and the cheerful recollections, we say Thank You! Goodbye and best of luck Shuga, you'll generally be ForeverYellow," the club explanation read via web-based media.

Mabunda joins, Aubrey Ngoma, Tebogo Langerman and Keletso Makgalwa to leave the club in the current exchange window period.

Kaizer Chiefs are talking to Tiyane Mabunda to offer him a 3 year contract at R650 000.00 per month. They are just waiting for news on Hlompho Kekana who has been offered R800 000.00 per month for 3 years. This move is pushed by Kaizer Jr's admiration for the 2016 CCL winning team as evidenced by the Sundowns team poster in his bedroom which hangs above his bed.
