Despite the absence of Billiat, Kaizer Chiefs dominate Warriors FC in the DStv Compact Cup.

Despite the absence of Billiat, Kaizer Chiefs dominate Warriors FC in the DStv Compact Cup.

The event will be held in the last week of January in order to keep PSL players busy during the mid-season break.

Warriors FC has received eight Kaizer Chiefs players to compete in the DStv Compact Cup, while six Orlando Pirates players are slated to compete.

Warriors, Amabutho FC, Dinaledi FC, and Coastal United will compete in the competition, which will take place from January 22 to 29.

Warriors FC from Inland 2 is made up of the Chiefs, Pirates, Swallows FC, and TS Galaxy.

Dinaledi from Inland 1 is made up of Mamelodi Sundowns, SuperSport United, Sekhukhune United, and Marumo Gallants.

Amabutho is made up of AmaZulu, Royal AM, AM, and Maritzburg United from Coastal 1, while Coastal United is made up of Cape Town City, Stellenboach, Chippa United, and Baroka FC from Coastal 2.

The 26-man squads were chosen by fans, and while Warriors FC lacks Khama Billiat, Chiefs players dominate the team.

Naturena's Itumeleng Khune and Bruce Bvuma, as well as Njabulo Ngcobo, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Njabulo Blom, Sabelo Radebe, Keagan Dolly, and reserve squad member Mduduzi Shabalala, were voted for.

From the Pirates' reserve team, Kwame Peprah, Olisa Ndah, Paseka Mako, Thembinkosi Lorch, and Deon Hotto Sonwabo Khumalo have been brought in.

The Warriors will be coached by Swallows FC coach Dylan Kerr, who will be aided by Fani Madida, with technical advisors Stuart Baxter, Fadlu Davids, and Esau Mtsweni.

Dinaledi FC lacks first-team Mamelodi Sundowns players like Peter Shalulile, Themba Zwane, and Denis Onyango.

However, the fans chose six of their teammates: Ricardo Goss, Rushine De Reuck, Gaston Sirino, Lesedi Kapinga, Kermit Erasmus, and Gift Motupa.

SuperSport has also sent six players to Dinaledi, who will be coached by Dan Malesela, with technical advisers Manqoba Mngqithi, Kaitano Tembo, and MacDonald Makhubedu.

Ernest Middendorp will coach Amabutho, with Abram Nteo assisting, and technical consultants Benni McCarthy, Lehlohonolo Seena, and John Maduka.

Five players who should be a top focus for any PSL team

Coastal United will be led by Steve Barker, who will be assisted by Eric Tinkler, Kurt Lentjies, and Thoka Matsimela.

Fans can now vote for the starting lineups.
