Former Amakhosi Star Reportedly Headed For The Exit At Chloorkop

Kaizer Chiefs has lost a couple of stars to Mamelodi Sundowns over the last couple of years and this has always been controversial. Players who make the move are usually sais to be chasing money, however it hasn't been going to well for them in the capital city. George Lebese was the first casualty after moving to Sundowns from Chiefs, however he didn't get much game time and was eventually forced out of the club.

This star made the move to Mamelodi Sundowns in 2019, however Pitso Mosimane left the club months after his signing. Things for off to a good start for him, however the departure of Jingles saw him fall down further in the pecking order. He is yet to participate this season. This is always going to lead to frustration as age is no longer on his side.

According to reports George Maluleka is seeking an immediate move out of Mamelodi Sundowns following his lack of game time. It is not clear what his future holds, however he won't struggle to find a new club as he is a quality play that has a lot to offer. He is currently 32 years old and will be considering his future.

This is definitely of George Lebese saga and it will feel like deja vu for football fans. Many had speculated thus would happen following his exit from Amakhosi, however he made the decision knowing very of the possibilities. The new coaches have adopted the methods of modern football at Sundowns and players like George Maluleka have been replaced by new and interesting players.

It will be interesting to see what will happen in the future when it comes to his career. He signed a 3 year deal back in 2020 meaning that he will be at the club until 2023. He has been seemingly enjoying time at Mamelodi Sundowns in the background, however he is a footballer and it is only a matter of time before he gets tired of not playing.
