Two Sundowns players told to look for opportunities elsewhere.

It seems two of Mamelodi Sundowns players will have to go in search of new clubs either on loan or full time. Word by SABC Sport is that two Mamelodi Sundowns players goalkeepr Jody February and defender Sammy Seabi are deemed surplus to requirements.

Jody February who spent most part of last season on loan at the soweto based club Swallows FC. Swallows who are unlikely to recall the goalkeeper after they acquired the services of Thakasani Mbanjwa. Mbanjwa joins the likes of Thela Ngobeni and Sanele Tshabalala. Mbanjwa who was at the books of Motsepe Foundation Championship side University of Pretoria (Amatuks) last season.

Word from SABC Sport is that the player has been informed he is not in the plans of Mamelodi Sundowns for the 2022/ 2023 season. This is after Mamelodi Sundowns signed South Africa's number 1 goalkeeper Ronwen Williams.

Sammy Seabi is part of the players who were told to seek play time elsewhere as they wont feature for the Chloorkop based side this season. Seabi spent most part of last season at Chippa United. With Chippa having reinforced their squad with over 10 players it is unlikely the defender will be recalled.
