Stuart Baxter explains Kaizer Chiefs' decision to allow one of the Players to go Home

The head coach of Kaizer Chiefs Stuart Baxter has explained the club's decision to let one of their players to go home as results of an emergency.

Samir Nurkovic was no part of the Chiefs squad that defeated Supersport United on Sunday.

The club confirmed over the weekend that they gave the player permission to travel to his native country, Serbia to spend time with his serious ill Father.

The club is yet to confirm when the player will return.

Nurkovic recently underwent a surgery on his knee after suffering an injury and was already ruled out for a couple of weeks.

Speaking after yesterday's game against Supersport United, Baxter also confirmed that Nurkovic will also continue with his rehabilitation process in Serbia.

Nurkovic is only expected to return to action in January and Baxter believes that it was only fair to allow the player to be with his Father.

"He has been allowed to go home to be with his seriously ill father," said the English coach.

Baxter concluded that they are in contact with the player's doctors since he is going to continue with his rehab in Serbia and when he gets back to the team he has to fight for his place.
