There is a lot of drama that took place at AFCON this year some of the drama, we did not get an opportunity to see. Some were exposed people died. Former Pirate and Wits coach Roger De Sa believes he got the wrong end of the stick. De saga came out guns blazing for CAF bosses and Dr Patrice Motsepe for inequalities at the biggest tournament in continent.
Roger De Sa experience a lot of things which left him unimpressed in AFCON.
De Sa was not impressed with Dr Patrice Motsepe who was often seen at luxurious Hilton hotel. He will normally use his private jet to fly around the country to attend matches while many teams were staying in not so good houses. The training pitches were also not in good conditions.
The grass was not up to scratch. The reality is that the stadiums are world class. However many things in and around the beautiful stadium are not so good.
The Algerian National team lost their bus. They could not find it.They were forced to use kombis at end. The beautiful stadiums they do not compliment the residents area around them. Most of them are situated in poor residential areas. This has made things difficult for many teams to move from one city to another.
De Sa is disappointed that AFRICA is still experiencing such problems even today.
At some point Sameto Eto'o had to defend the country by saying they are not hear to please or give gift to anyone. This came after Algeria and Ivory coast complained about the condition of the pitch at Japoma stadium.
Roger DA Sa also managed to meet SA referee they managed to iron some issues they are now good friends. They did not see eye to eye previous while he was still coaching Platinum stars. They are now in good terms.
He also confirmed that he was pushed by a Moroccan and CAF official during an altercation that got him banned. He couldn't keep quite as he is not a jelly fish.
