Opinion: Why Kearyn Baccus is not getting enough game time?

Kearyn Baccus hasn’t been playing lately and he obviously would like to play and show the world how good he is.

If you give a Ferrari to a bad driver and give a Toyota Tazz to a good driver, the Tazz will lead you to your destination and you will arrive alive. This is the case with Kaizer Chiefs, our beloved Baxter benched Frosler, Ngcobo, and Baccus for Blom, Cardoso, and Parker, does it even make sense?

If it weren’t for journalists and the fans asking questions and putting pressure on him, he wouldn’t have selected Ngcobo. He plays Frosler as a left-back, Baccus doesn't play at all, Sekgota doesn’t play, it’s just so hard to understand how things work at Kaizer Chiefs, it’s like they just want to score goals, they don’t care how those goals come about, they just want to score.

If I was the coach then Baccus was going to start every match, someone with his abilities deserves a place in the team. He can score, he can assist, he can defend so what do others really have that he doesn’t?

The problem is his ball-playing abilities. His passing, his vision, and his hard work. It seems like all Chiefs coaches prefer airplane football and they don’t like players who like to play real football. The way I see it, even Kevin De Bruyne and Paul Pogba were going to be benched if they played for Amakhosi because the coaches prefer airplane football.

The team won their previous match because Dolly and Billiat decided to remember their Sundowns days where they destroyed defenders with short and long passes that confused opponents. If you add Baccus and Frosler to the mix you get a bomb, but then they add Parker and Hlanti so we can play dull football which is very defensive and predictable.

With Komphela we lost many matches but at least we didn’t play airplane football. Now we turn great players into benchwarmers.
