FIFA World Cup

“He said he will book me before the game started” R. Williams spits fire against the Referee.

Bafana-Bafana watched their World Cup dreams being thrashed last week on Sunday after Ghana was given what is believed to be a “malicious” penalty. However Bafana-Bafana has launched a complaint against The referee and that had been a talking point of the week and a lot of people have been talking their point of views but it seems like they have stopped after Ronwen Williams revealed the unbelievable.

The SAFA CEO announced on Monday morning that they don't intend on wasting their time by chilling at Ghana so they head back to Mzansi on Tuesday so that they can attend a press conference after having ticked all their boxes’ and submitted their complaint, which was accompanied by all the facts that proves that the game was manipulated.

So on Wednesday the SAFA press conference took place in Johannesburg where the SAFA president was expected to brief the media. However Mr President didn't disappoint and told The nation that they have already contacted fifa and they are busy regulating the situation. But the Most tough thing that happened at the press was when Ronwen Williams was given the mic.

The Supersport and Bafana Bafana skipper started by saying that before the game started “I already felt targeted”. He said “The referee came and told me he's going to book me for time wasting before the game started.

He also explained that the game was rigged because he was already the target and Ghana started on the front foot, meaning that it could have been planned that Ghana should be attacking since Williams is under pressure from what the referee said to him. Williams said that he almost lost his cool In the game when the Ghana goalkeeper was wasting time after they scored the first goal. He said it annoyed him seeing Joseph Wollacot wasting time without being punished.

It seems like Maguette Ndiaye is in hot water because he was widely criticized at the press conference. The former SAFA leading referee Ace said that Ndiaye got almost 95% of his decisions wrong in the first, and all of those decisions led to the goal. The decision also led to the corner which was also a Referee's mistake.

I'm my opinion I think that the replay might be ruled out because Ghana has launched new evidence proving that indeed Amartey was fouled. However with Motsepe under pressure from the media, he might have called it off in order to save his job because already the Ghanaian fans are criticizing him. Let's just hope and wait.

What's your view about this matter? Do you think that the referee was bribed? Don't forget to leave your thoughts in the comment section.
