Following Baroka's relegation, the Glamour Boys are rumored to be interested in signing Bonginkosi Makume, a 26-year-old defender.
Makume has been one of Baroka FC's few bright spots. Despite being relegated, the defender has a number of suitors lined up for him.
According to reports, Maritzburg United is currently dominating the race ahead of Kaizer Chiefs, AmaZulu, and Royal AM!
Makume appeared in 20 games for Baroka this season. Despite being a center-back, he scored three goals and assisted on one!
"The major three of KZN (AmaZulu, Royal AM Bafana and Maritzburg United) are leading the race to sign Kaizer Chiefs target!" Both teams are interested in the Kaizer Chiefs target, according to a source.
"In fact, I heard his manager is only waiting for offers so he can sit down with the player and talk about them."
"However, they appear to prefer a move to Maritzburg because he has a potential to develop as a player there."
In terms of coaching staff, there is consistency. However, you are aware that in our football world, money talks.
"I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at Royal AM or maybe Kaizer Chiefs, as I've heard they've been keeping an eye on him as well."
Before next season, the Glamour Boys have already made one defensive signing.
Zitha Kwinika, a former Kaizer Chiefs academy graduate, has joined the the club. Last Thursday, head coach Steve Barker of Stellenbosch confirmed the news!
In the next days, Kwinika is scheduled to join the Amakhosi. In the 2021/22 season, he was selected player of the season by Stellenbosch FC.
