Reformed “drug-addict” Pirates star makes a come-back to PSL.

After years in the sidelines former Orlando Pirates player Thandani Ntshumayelo is expecting to make a come back to top flight football soon.

Ntshumayelo has been training with Moroka Swallows in a big to stay within the football circles and regain fitness. He has however not been given a contract by Maswaiswai.

Since his ban Ntshumayelo has only played 35 minutes, which was towards the end of the 2018/19 season while at Baroka, but has 148 starts to his name from his time at SuperSport United and Pirates. He turns 31 this year.

Bibo’s four-year drug ban was lifted back in 2018, allowing him to join any club of his choice. The then 28-year-old Ntshumayelo was slapped with a heavy ban in 2016 after testing positive for cocaine.

He pleaded guilty and was handed a four-year ban that looked to have ended his career as Pirates terminated his contract.

While this current season is about to come to a close, Bibi stays hopeful of securing a new deal that will see him return to the pitch.
