The Buccaneers not at a level of the big club.

When Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates made new signings in the transfer window, many people said Mamelodi Sundowns made unnecessary signings. It now appears that the 'unnecessary' signings made by the Brazilians are setting the DStv Premiership League on fire. Orlando Pirates and their supporters had high expectations after the signings they made. Despite starting the season badly, the Buccaneers got the momentum they need until they faced Mamelodi Sundowns and lost. This past weekend Orlando Pirates went head to head against Cape Town City and played a 1-1 draw. Orlando Pirates co-head coach Mandla Ncikazi has admitted they are not living to their status.

Coach Mandla Ncikazi told the media that "Pirates are not at the level where everyone expects them to be. Currently we're not reflecting in our performances the name that we have. People should be proud of Pirates." He also added on possession based playing by saying "Our priority that we are going to work on is dominating possession, and if we say we are a possession-based, and want to use possession in our attack, then let it be clear that we must dominate when we have the ball while we adapt to what the opposition are doing. We must impose ourselves with our possession." Where do you see Orlando Pirates finishing this season? Comment your answer below, share and hit the like button please.
