The Blues may have found some form of replacement for both players, but they must still complete those two deals when the transfer market reopens. Here are three reasons why Chelsea must sign these two players when the transfer window opens.
1 - Romelu Lukaku may want some assistance at some point: At the moment, Romelu Lukaku is providing the goods for Chelsea FC, and some supporters may believe that the team does not need to recruit Erling Haaland again.
But the truth is that there may come a period when the Belgian striker is not at his best; this might be a difficult time for the club if it does not have a good player to score those goals.
2 - They can use Romelu Lukaku and Erling Haaland together: Many fans believe that the Blues will have to bench Lukaku before using Haaland, but this isp not the case because the two can play together.
If Erling Haaland is brought to Chelsea football club, a configuration like the 4-5-2 shape will make it easy for the Norwegian and Romelu Lukaku to play at the same time. The two strikers can still be used in the 4-4-3 and 3-4-3 formations, but one of them will have to play as a winger.
Chelsea football club will be an amazing team in Europe if Erling Haaland can play alongside Romelu Lukaku; the team will be highly formidable and capable of winning the treble.
3 - They still need another good defender: Chelsea football club may have a lot of fantastic defenders right now, but that may not be the case for a long time.
Kurt Zouma left the club in the summer and has yet to be replaced, while Thiago Silva is getting on in years and the team has to find a long-term replacement.
Jules Kounde will not just be Thiago Silva's long-term replacement, but also an effective one. He is an excellent defender who is difficult to dribble past.
