Pitso Mosimane slams reports linking Mamelodi Sundowns top boss with a move to Al Ahly?

"I normally don't respond to these weak stories like these, but you are really compromising everybody clubs coaches here,"

"Please let's try and remain decent at times and avoid creating unnecessary tensions with fake news,"

Pitso Mosimane has went out of his way to dismiss reports linking current Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rhulani Mokwena with a potential move to Al Ahly according to a most recent report from

The news comes as no surprise as Pitso Mosimane currently no longer has an assistant coach at Al Ahly considering his now former assistant Calvin Johnson most recently departed the club

As for Rhulani Mokwena he himself has established a reputation as one of the best assistant coaches in South Africa during both spells at Mamelodi Sundowns

As well Interestingly enough Rhulani Mokwena has previously worked with Pitso Mosimane at Mamelodi Sundowns before from 2013 to 2018 as the pair enjoyed a fabulous relationship together

It's fair to say that possibly Rhulani Mokwena & Manqoba Mngqithi deserve credit for the blueprint in which Mamelodi Sundowns and Pitso Mosimane have established themselves as one of the best attacking possession based teams in South Africa

But not so fast....since Rhulani Mokwena returned to Mamelodi Sundowns after an unsuccessful spell at Orlando Pirates and a decent spell at Chippa United

With Pitso Mosimane moving to Al Ahly the pair have kind of established a sort of frosty relationship between them when Sundowns met Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League last season where a war of words ensued between the two tacticians

But of course it would seem that since then all has been forgiven and both men have moved on from the verbal altercation and so has life as well

For Rhulani though a potential move to Al Ahly wouldn't represent so much of a step up considering he would only be going there to fulfill a similar role he has fulfilled at Mamelodi Sundowns where he might one day be the club's head coach this time
