The war of words between Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana officials seems to be far from over with SAFA’s chief medical doctor Thulani Ngwenya coming out to Express disappointment from how Sundowns' co-coach has been laahing out at Bafana Bafana saying that they did not report to about Sundonws' players who picked up injuries during the national team camp.
Mokoena reportedly lashed out on Bafana Bafana's National team medical stuff a few days ago as he claimed that every Sundowns player who went for national duties returned to Chloorkop with injuries and the Bafana Bafana did not even brother to inform The Brazilians about the injuries.
According to IDiski Times, Ngwenya expressed serious disappointment after reading what Mokoena said and he revealed that they (Bafana Bafana) sent every information to Sundonws' medical team, they may have been the once who did not communicated with other members of the team.
Ngwenya said he isnhighly disappointed with all this since he is the one who personally spoke to Dr Paul Maphoto who is the head of medical team at Sundowns.
“I am disappointed (because) it means the technical people at Sundowns are also not communicating with the medical department (at the club), if any. But I have spoken personally to both Dr Carl Tabane and Dr Paul Maphoto (member of Sundowns medical team) regarding their players. I have seen a report that was sent by Dr Tshepo Molobi. He copied me because he copies me on all correspondences that have to do with medical. It was sent to Mamelodi Sundowns. It is just unfortunate," the publication reports.
A couple of Sundowns players have picked up some Knocks when doing National duties, Thapelo Morena was literally out for a couple of weeks and he is yet to fully return to action, Rushine De Reuck is also not playing at the moment due injuries he picked up when he was with Bafana Bafana, the same applies to Mothobi Mvala.
