Despite not being allowed to sign new players, Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs have decided to let go of one of their highly-rated stars albeit on a temporary basis.
The transfer deadline Day was not drama-laden, as Chiefs confirmed that promising youngster, Keletso Sifama, has joined relegation struggles Maritzburg United in a loan deal until the end of the season.
"Striker Keletso Sifama has moved to Maritzburg United on loan until the end of the 2020/21 season. We wish the youngster all of the best during his spell at United," Amakhosi confirmed in a statement on their official website.
Sifama was elevated to the first team in August last year, and he made his full debut in the bio-bubble against Mamelodi Sundowns, as Chiefs chased the Premiership, however, his first few months in the top-flight ended in tears as the Glamour Boys were pipped to the title by Downs.
The 17-year-old attacking midfielder has been used sparingly by Chiefs head coach Gavin Hunt, with only three appearances in the DStv Premiership season. And with 15 matches left until the end of the season, the attacker will hope to help the KZN-based club survive from the Red-zone.
Do you think this will be a positive move for Sifama?
