Mayo: Chiefs Right To Let Nurkovic Go

Club legend Patrick Mayo has upheld Kaizer Chiefs' accounted for choice to relinquish Serbian striker Samir Nurkovic.

The opening shot uncovered on Thursday that Nurkovic is set to finish a shocking move to aggressive DStv Premiership side Royal AM toward the finish of the ebb and flow season.

The 29-year-old joined Amakhosi in the 2019/20 season where he scored multiple times in 25 counterparts for the Soweto monsters.

"Chiefs were on the whole correct to release him, they were correct not to set off their one-year choice," Mayo tells KickOff.

"By and by, I wouldn't agree that my heart is broken at him leaving. Since we were anticipating a ton from him as a worldwide player.

"In any case, sadly, he isn't giving us what we anticipated from him, he fizzled at Chiefs.

"Whenever you are an unfamiliar player, you should be better than our neighborhood players in Mzansi.

"In spite of the fact that Chiefs are battling forthright, I'm certain his takeoff is a surprisingly beneficial turn of events.

"Perhaps this will allow one more kid an opportunity to sparkle we've never suspected could fill his situation.

"However I should just own it will require some investment.

"Chiefs are a major club, who can't stand to permit a youthful assailant to create and on second thought need prompt outcome as a major group.

"They should go external the country to find a striker that will promptly finish the work Nurkovic neglected to do.

"Since locally, I don't see anybody who can show up at Chiefs and be a top striker."
