GladAfrica Striker Gets Off The Mark As He Scored His First Goal Of The Season

Date: 03/12/2021

One of the not so popular strikers in the GladAfrica Championship, Justice Johnpaul Figuaredo got off the mark as he scored his first goal of the 2021/22 campaign in Cape Town All Stars colours. Cape Town All Stars played their latest instalment in the Championship against Platinum City Rovers away from home, and the visitors won the match 1-0 at full-time all thanks to Figuaredo's late goal scored as the match closed in on the 90th minute mark.

Justice Figuaredo who is well known in the PSL as he played for Maritzburg United and TS Galaxy, has played a total of 8 fixtures for Cape Town All Stars, and on matchday 15 he got lucky as he netted his first goal in 8 matches. Figuaredo's goal was the only goal in the match, as he found the net in the late 81st minute of the match giving All Stars the lead and as the held onto their one goal advantage for a classic 1-0 win at full-time for maximum points on the road.

Figuaredo is not one of the best strikers as he does not find the back of the oppositions nets on a regular, and he has now scored his first goal for this campaign as he last scored a goal in the 2019/20 campaign when he was still playing for Mbombela United in the National First Division. Figuaredo has now paved open a path for himself to potentially score more goals for Cape Town All Stars in the future.

Cape Town All Stars latest three points collected on the road has secured them a seventh place spot on the GladAfrica Championship log standings as they overtook their opponents Platinum City Rovers who now dropped to eight place on the log with 21 points as All Stars sit on 22 points.
