Gavin Hunt on losing to his former employers.

Chippa United coach Gavin Hunt was relieved by kaizer Chiefs with two games to go at the end of last season and would have been wanting to get some taste of revenge but it was not to be as his side were simply outclassed on Saturday.

"We lost 4-0, but if you look at the game and you understand football, I mean how many opportunities did we have today." Said a frustrated Gavin Hunt.

"It could have been seven or eight for us. Before they scored we should have scored maybe twice. We had so many chances in and around the box,"

"The first goal was a real defensive error. It is a problem for us. We have got to try and improve them and get them better. Some of them obviously come from a lower level. And if you are not up to the level you are going to get exposed."

"There were a lot of individual errors in our side. The third goal, I mean it is right down the side. It is a simple defensive structure there and it is disappointing but I mean we had unbelievable chances.

When he was asked about his changes at half-time, Hunt responded

"We were hurting them. We got them in the right areas and where we wanted them. We changed, we pushed more to the wider areas and kept them back. But we turned the ball over in simple areas and obviously their front three is worth more than our whole club. You have got to look at it like that."

"Today was a very poor defensive display but on the other side there were a lot of positives. But you cannot be losing 4-0. You have got to have a little more resistance. We had the ball right on the halfway line and we played a little 5-yard ball and they intercepted and then you go 1-0 down when you could have been 2-0 up. Those are the type of things. That comes with players playing and we need to get better." - Gavin Hunt
