Kaizer Chiefs debutant Sithebe hailed

Kaizer Chiefs debutant Sinethemba Sithebe lived up to his billing.

That is according to his manager Arthur Zwane.

Sithebe played a blunder of a game on Saturday afternoon as Kaizer Chiefs were sent to cleaners by Royal AM

Royal AM are proving to be Chiefs biggest nemesis and they once again went one better than Amakhosi.

But Sithebe got his manager amped up after displaying great skills despite the loss.

The 29-year-old covered some ground in this game, won 50% of his challenges and 94 % on his passes completion, more than any other midfielder in the Chiefs team.

He joined Chiefs from AmaZulu during the off season and he is proving to be a worthy buy.

“So Sithebe did well, considering that he’s been out of the game for some time. At some point I didn’t think he would last for 90 minutes but when I saw him pushing and giving his all I said let me leave him on the field because that’s the kind of attitude we need players who can dig deeper so that attitude I think I was so pleased and impressed at the same time,” said Zwane.

Kaizer Chiefs are now under immense pressure to redeem themselves after that opening day defeat.
