The curtains might have come down on the January transfer window but that has not stopped former Orlando Pirates and SuperSport star Thabo Qalinge from looking for a new club.
Qalinge was offloaded by Matsatsantsa last season after he was deemed surplus to requirements.
He has since struggled to find a new club inspite of all the talent he posseses.
A source who spoke to football publication Phakaathi said that the once speedy winger was working hard to revive his fading career. He said while Qalinge had been training hard while looking for a new club, it has all been in vain. But hopefully his luck will change soon.
“I think he has used all his resources and nothing seems to be working. It seems like there is no team that is willing to take him in, I don’t know what the problem is. He has been training very hard since leaving SuperSport but it looks like its all for nothing,” said a source.
While giving up is not a solution having worked hard this far, another source believes that Qalinge could walk on the plank should his fortunes not change soon.
“I just don’t understand why he is not getting a team. Its shocking because everyone knows that he is a good player and he will add value at any club,” said that source.
Qalinge definitely has to find a club before the 2021/22 season starts, if he is to revive and redeem his career.
