Reigning English Premier League champions Liverpool are currently not playing like champions. They are far from the side that they were last season. By a mile. They started the season fairly, and they were on top of the table for some time but they started losing form and got injuries.

So mother nature has not been kind to Jurgen Klopp's men and this affected them massively. The league is far from their reach. Klopp has admitted that, but he will be hoping that his side will at least make the top 4. But is it possible? Very much. However, taking into consideration their current form, Chelsea, Everton, and even West Ham are ahead of the champions.

Liverpool are currently sixth, equal with points with Everton who have a game in hand. Aston Villa are 8th, four points behind Liverpool with 3 games in hand. Now if Everton draw their game in hand, they jump to sixth, Liverpool fall to seventh place. That would mean they are out of the Europa League. And if Aston Villa manages two wins in their three games in hand, Liverpool will fall to 8th place.

Tottenham occupy 9th place, and should they win their two games in hand, Liverpool will fall to 9th. It would be truly sad for Liverpool supporters who won the league last season with a lot of games to spare. This season they are not even challengers.
