The two teams have both played five games and South Africa is on 13 points ahead of Ghana which is sitting on 10 points. Whenever these two national teams are grouped together, Ghana always win, but things have changed as Bafana Bafana still holds the unbeaten run in a group.

The first game South Africa played against Zimbabwe ended in a 0-0 draw and surprisingly, when they have beaten Ghana by 1-0 at home.
