PSL Stars whose home were burned down in 2021

Diversifying your investment portfolio is essential. In recent years many South African footballers have learned that putting your eggs in one basket can result to a total loss in a blink of an eye.

Nowadays most of these athletes invest in stock, chain of restaurants and even in property. Two well known PSL footballers in the year 2021 had to do a bit of soul searching with the latter suffering a huge setback financial.

We take a look at two well known PSL footballers whose home were burnt down in the year 2021, resulting in severe damages.

1. Itumeleng Khune

The year 2021 has been one of the most heartbreaking and character testing for Itumeleng Khune on and off the field as well. The Ventersdorp goalkeeper has enjoyed minimal game time with both Daniel Akpeyi and Bruce Bvuma challenging for the number one spot.

On March his year a portion of his family home in Ventersdorp went up in flames resulting in the tragic death of his one and only sister Meiki Mapula. At this point in time it is not known if the fire was man made as the incident is still under investigations.

To add to his woes, his team Kazier Chiefs also suffered a humiliating defeat in the CAF Champions League final against Al Alhy on July 2021.

2. Rodney Ramagalela

Itumeleng Khune and Rodney Ramagalela's woes are almost similar. The Limpopo born forward is currently having a difficult career patch after he sustained an injury. The 32 year old footballer is yet to make even a single appearance for Chippa United this season.

According to emerging reports, on Tuesday morning Ramagalela lost one of his most valuable investments, his eight-room house with a double garage after it burnt to the ground. Furthermore it has been reported that all his belongings including the furniture were burnt to ashes.

Fortunately no lives were lost as there were no occupants when the house caught fire.
