Ghanaian Journalist Apologises For The Fake KZN Stabbing News He Reported

A lot has happened since last Sunday when Bafana played a crucial 2022 World Cup qualifier match against Ghana, there has been a lot of controversy surrounding that game, the Senegalese Maguette Ndiaye was on top of the agenda after he awarded the Black Stars a soft penalty that gave Ghana an important victory, leaving Bafana Bafana players in tears since they were almost there, South Africans were left with sore hearts after Bafana produced a stellar performance throughout the entire qualifiers only to lose in such manner.

When South Africans were still trying to come to terms with the fact that they were knocked out of the tournament in a rather painful way, when they were still waiting for the outcomes of the investigations by the Federation of International Football Association, news broke by a Ghanaian journalist who falsely reported that there is a Ghanaian National who was stabbed to death in South Africa when an argument ensure about the legitimacy of the penalty and that turned out to be fake news since no such incident happened anywhere in South Africa.

After realising the mistake, Nuhu Adams took down the post on all his social media platforms and later penned an apology for publishing unverified news which could have incited violence between South Africans and Ghanaians, he admitted that he was misled by his Source and fell victim of reporting the news which were unverified.

"Apologies to everyone affected by my post of a murder in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The source of the news misled me and everyone in relation to it," he said.

Despite apologising, Nuhu went as far as deactivating his Twitter handle since he could not take the amount of abuse he was going through with South Africans venting their anger since he tarnished the i age of the country making South Africans look like bad people to the world.

The penalty victory has sparked a lot of controversy and people have been saying a whole lot of things, but a day will come where FIFA will put an end to all the speculations surrounding that qualifier game.
