After realising the mistake, Nuhu Adams took down the post on all his social media platforms and later penned an apology for publishing unverified news which could have incited violence between South Africans and Ghanaians, he admitted that he was misled by his Source and fell victim of reporting the news which were unverified.

"Apologies to everyone affected by my post of a murder in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The source of the news misled me and everyone in relation to it," he said.

Despite apologising, Nuhu went as far as deactivating his Twitter handle since he could not take the amount of abuse he was going through with South Africans venting their anger since he tarnished the i age of the country making South Africans look like bad people to the world.

The penalty victory has sparked a lot of controversy and people have been saying a whole lot of things, but a day will come where FIFA will put an end to all the speculations surrounding that qualifier game.
