The incident started with a fake corner kick, where the ball was sent out by a Ghana player.but the reveree awarded a corner kick out of nowhere. It was clearly that the game was fixed but by one party.
A lot of people went to social media pointing out all the mistakes and deliberately doings by the referee and it was said he called more than 30 wrong fouls against South Africa.
SAFA finally lodged a complaint to FIFA so they can review the game and investigate the referee in details.
Ghana FA officials are not happy about the game being reviewed as he believes that nothing wrong was done.
According to Ghana FA officials, " We have been to places where officiating did not go our way but we did not even comment; for instance, the game against Ethiopia, there were certain bad calls from the referee.
"When we played against Zimbabwe in Cape Coast, there were certain bad calls and we received a penalty against us.
"So things do not always go your way. But if it happens in situations like this where a draw will take you through and you look back at how they set up. They set up to defend, until we scored and it got to the 75th minute, the 80th minute, that was when they were pilling pressure in need of an equaliser" he said
