Watch: Sipho Mbule spotted with Chiefs target

Since FIFA's ban imposed on Kaizer Chiefs Football Club was lifted before the beginning of the season 2021/2022 Amakhosi have been linked with no less than 20 players, after the club has made its intentions to go into the transfer window market whenever there is a chance clear.

One of the players that were linked with a move to Naturena was the then Supersport United Football Club attacking middlefielder, Sipho Mbule who crushed the dreams of Chiefs landing his signature by signing for Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club earlier this month.

The 24-year-old's move was seen as another victory over Chiefs by Sundowns who in the last few transfer window market, have managed to win the signatures of the players the two clubs are chasing with the Ethiopian international, Abubeker Nassir one of them.

Mbule is not the only player Chiefs were targeting from Matsatsantsa as the likes of Tebogo Mokoena who has also joined Sundowns, and Luke Fleurs were also looked at by the Phefeni Glamour Boys hierarchy, with the latter believed to be still in Chiefs' list of players they want to sign.

Despite Mbule's recent move to Chloorkop the duo of Fleurs and Mbule himself remains close friends, and it can be seen in how they are towards each other on social media.

Yesterday the duo went out for lunch at Waterfall Corner in Midrand, and Fleurs shared the video clip of the two on his Instagram story, @lukefleurs before Mbule reshared it to his Instagram story as well.

Many could speculate on what the two were talking about during their lunch, but I think it was just two good friends catching up ahead of the tricky pre-season period before the season starts.

It is also nice to see that, despite not playing fir the same team anymore, they are still great friends.
