Ex Bafana Defender Matthew Booth Praises Kaizer Chiefs Signings

Despite the fact that Kaizer Chiefs had a lot of success on the transfer market, this will not put an end to Mamelodi Sundowns' reign over the South African soccer landscape just yet. This is the viewpoint that Matthew Booth, a defender who formerly played for Sundowns and Bafana Bafana, holds.

However, he believes that Amakhosi will be able to pose a legitimate threat to Sundowns during the upcoming season as the latter team gets ready to defend its Treble (DStv Premiersh, MTN 8 and Nedbank Cup).

"I still see Sundowns being dominant because Chiefs have got a long way to re-establish the competitiveness in the league," the analyst said. "It's going to take them a while." In related news, The Citizen stated that the Chiefs had been presented with the possibility of obtaining Mozambican player Luis Miquiquissone in order to bolster their roster for the following season.

Although Al Ahly lists him as a player on their roster, it is widely thought that new head coach Ricardo Soares does not intend to use him.
