Ex-Pirates captain now playing in dusty fields of Mzansi

Football is a very short career that needs one to be dedicated and determined while playing it, because at any given point things could change. Over the years we have seen many talented players, who had promising talents just fate away from the game while the world of football was expecting more from them.

The former Orlando Pirates Football Club youth captain, Augustine Mahlonoko has fallen into the list of players who are not living up to the high expectations they were set for themselves when they were starting to play professional football.

The 20-year-old made his debut for Pirates senior team when he was just 17 years old, and after making only four appearances for the senior team in three years he spent at the club he moved to Baroka Football Club in 2020, and left them before the beginning of the season to join Pretoria Callies Football Club where he struggling for game time.

His struggles to get playing time have seen him occasionally return to play in the dusty fields of Mzansi, where Vino snaps captured him and shared his images on his Instagram account @vino_snap.
