Chiefs' player Anthony Akumu played 90 minutes as Kenya held Uganda to a 1-1 draw.

Domestic club matches has been put on halt as players are playing rounds with their respective national teams in the Fifa world cup qualifiers in their CAF groups for qualication. Uganda hosted Kenya in their CAF Group E, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw as Kenya held Uganda to a draw denying them a victory at home.

Kaizer Chiefs player Anthony Akumu started the match for Kenya and enjoyed a full 90 minutes of game-time without being considered being substituted in the match. Akumu ran out in defence and Kenya made 2 changes but non of the defenders was replaced. Michael Olunga lead the attack for Kenya and scored their only goal when he found the back of the net in the 61st minute for the 1-0ead in the match.

SuperSport United's Moses Waiswa started for Uganda but he unfortunately did not complete a full 90 minutes as he was substituted in the 63rd minute making way for Junior Yunus Sentamu. Kenya could not defend their lead as much as desired, as they conceded in the 89th minute when Uganda's Fahad Bayo scored to level the match score on 1-1.

Uganda and Kenya both scored a goal each as their forward players entrusted to lead the squads scored for their national teams. The match ended in a 1-1 draw as the two countries added a point each to their total in the group. Uganda after their point earned remained in the second place spot as their points went up to 9 after 5 matches played, as for Kenya they are third in the group on 3 points after 5 matches played.
