Previous Orlando Pirates safeguard Ayanda Gcaba has shared his contemplations on the condition of guarding at the club.

The Buccaneers have rolled out some eminent improvements with all due respect this season that has seen the arrival of Happy Jele, who was attempting to get game-time last season.

With Thulani Hlatshwayo having lost his spot in the public group, he is by all accounts battling at club level.

Gcaba, who was essential for an unshakable safeguard at the Bucs, says the greatest test in any group whatsoever back is tracking down the right mix, as in the past with Siyabonga Sangweni and Lucky Lekgwathi.

"It's just with regards to tracking down the right blend at the back, you need players that will see one another and know one another's job during the game," Gcaba told the Siya team.

"Guarding is an extremely basic position, it is exceptionally profound on the grounds that everything's tied in with securing your objectives, ensuring you don't permit anybody to overwhelm you. It needs solidarity and correspondence."

The previous safeguard is trusting that the Buccaneers can ricochet back from their sluggish beginning and is positive that they can in any case have a decent season.

"I simply trust the group skips back and completes the year solid, despite the fact that I think they still extremely distant from Mamelodi Sundowns, yet I'm positive they can in any case have a decent season," he added.
