Speculations reveal Kaizer Chiefs is hoping to cash-in a lucrative deal with million-dollars

A new round of transfer speculation has engulfed Kaizer Chiefs footballer Samir Nurkovi, who has now been linked with two clubs in as many seasons for the second year running.

According to reports, Chiefs are interested in cashing in on the Serbian-born footballer, who has been identified as the major target of Egyptian team Pyramids for the upcoming season.

Pyramids, on the other hand, will be required to satisfy the high asking price of $1.5 million, which is nearly R22.2 million, imposed by Kaizer Chiefs.

Pyramids are targeting a third-place finish in the Egyptian Premier League, which would guarantee them a return to the CAF Confederations Cup if they win their remaining five games.

In spite of the possibility of a lucrative transfer to a North African club following an upgraded deal last season, Nurkovi is content with his current situation at Kaizer Chiefs.

The 29-year-old is not seeking a transfer, but it is understood that the club would prefer to cash in on the footballer while he is still under contract. A year after signing a two-year deal with the Chiefs last season, Nurkovi is entering the final year of his deal, which includes an option for an additional year.

A South African agent with ties in Egypt has been instructed by the Kaizer Chiefs administration to procure an offer that will activate the Serbian's release clause, according to information obtained by KickOff.

The conclusion of the Egyptian season could result in a transfer to the Chiefs if Pyramids agree to meet their requirements.
