PSL player has lost R1.2 million in damages after his house got burnt down

The Premier Soccer League veteran player has had to go through a nightmare, after seeing all his hard-earned cash getting destroyed by fire. As he was away in a different province trying to get more money to survive, look after his loved ones and push his football career further, that’s when the tragedy occurred. According to reports, the estimated damages done by the fire are R1.2 million. This isn’t something that anyone should ever go through since it’s not easy building a house from scratch. As there’s a lot that has to be done for the house to be finished in terms of buying building material — which is mostly expensive and even the labour that comes with it.

Not to mention the whole furniture inside the house that also, cost an arm and a leg. So the Chippa United striker Rodney Ramagalela’s story is truly sad and it’s not something that he can easily forget. As he build his home in Limpopo which happens to be in the same province that he grew up in as a child. According to reports, Ramagalela has now gone back to Eastern Cape which is where he’s currently based and playing his football. As he had to rejoin the Chilli Boys to carry on with his rehabilitation as he’s currently nursing the injury that has kept him out of action. The former Black Leopards forward spent a few days back home in Mamvuka, Limpopo as he had to double-check the damages done by the fire.

Ramagalela has only made one appearance for the Gqeberha-based team this season. According to the Ramagalela family’s spokesperson, Thandi Mudau stated that they’re still waiting for forensics to reveal the results that might let them know what caused the fire. Otherwise, Ramagalela isn’t coping well following the incident. “We are still waiting for the forensic team to give us a report. At the moment we can’t speculate on the cause of the incident. He has gone back to PE to continue with his rehabilitation. He is struggling to cope with the incident,” said Mudau speaking to
