Opinion - Teboho Mokoena is caught up in a tug of war between Kaizer Chiefs & Mamelodi Sundowns?

It would appear that in a way the race to sign Teboho Mokoena will go right down to the wire as Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns are both fighting it out for the SuperSport United midfielder

And despite both clubs showing a keen interest in snapping up the services of Teboho Mokoena from SuperSport United agreeing a fee with his club will be far more complicated than agreeing personal terms for the player

Both Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns have both been chasing the player's signature for more than a year now and more than a season while Teboho Mokoena has been putting in extremely impressive performances for his club

It is worth noting that if the race to sign Teboho Mokoena came down to money than Kaizer Chiefs would be blown straight out of the water as Mamelodi Sundowns have unlimited resources and funds

Then again SuperSport United might start to get fed up at selling they're best players to Mamelodi Sundowns as that is one of the reasons why they are not really that competitive anymore in the race to win trophies

Although for an amount of time the race to sign Teboho Mokoena was between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns there is also a low key contender in the race for the player's much coveted signature

A few weeks ago SuperSport United CEO revealed that the club are slowly being resigned to losing Teboho Mokoena and that the player's and the club's first preference will be a move overseas over any other local based club

And while Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns are caught in a tug of war for the services of Teboho Mokoena an overseas based club might just sneak in and sign the player underneath the noses of both clubs

For Mamelodi Sundowns it would be absolutely crucial for them to sign Teboho Mokoena considering that at the end of this current season they will lose Hlompho Kekana
