Daniel Akpeyi & Kaizer Chiefs are set to open fresh talks over a new two year contract?

The Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper situation at the moment is probably a very frustrating one for every first team head coach to deal with no matter how much experience and know how they have

Because at this present moment Kaizer Chiefs have four first team material goalkeepers battling for one spot in between them which is a very strange situation whichever way you think of it

Those top goalkeepers come in the form of Itumeleng Khune, Bruce Bvuma, Brandon Pieterson, Daniel Akpeyi who are all battling it out for a first team spot at Kaizef Chiefs this season

But it would seem for now that the one goalkeeper who is winning the battle is Daniel Akpeyi as he is the only one who has been consistently selected for action amongst everyone else which is frustrating

And what is more frustrating is the situation of Bruce Bvuma who is a very talented goalkeeper but is not getting much game time at Kaizer Chiefs which is affecting his career

Which is why there has even been reports and suggestions from former goalkeepers that perhaps Bruce Bvuma should consider leaving Kaizer Chiefs in order for him to progress his career

But in terms of the present the current Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper is Daniel Akpeyi and the club have been so impressed they are considering offering him a new contract

And that of course would mean that he would then retire at Kaizer Chiefs and spend the rest of his career there and probably and perhaps even become a club legend in the process as well

To a certain degree he might follow in the footsteps of Itumeleng Khune at Kaizer Chiefs as a legendary goalkeeping club legend and continue to serve Amakhosi with true distinction, passion, commitment considering he has been impressive this season
