Kaizer Chiefs have sent invitation alongside with Richards bay to be part of the Prince Mangosuthu legacy cup in KwaZulu Natal. Sundowns have been in the tournament in the past but due to Covid-19 the tournament was stopped.According to reports the tournament is set to take place next month.
Mamelodi Sundowns and AmaZulu FC were part of the tournament already prior to the covid-19 break ,then Amakhosi and newly promoted club Richards Bay are both looking for their first appearance.It is clear that Amakhosi will want to test their new signings ahead of the new season.Kaizer Chiefs will look new considering the number of signings and the players who left the club.
Mamelodi Sundowns are still expected to unveil their new signings ahead of the new season ,In this tournament players like Sipho Mbule might get a game time to showcase their talents.Usuthu have also made number of changes in the squad.
