Shalulile Finally Breaks The Silence and Reveal The Reasons Behind His Shut Up Finger Celebration

Mamelodi Sundowns goal poacher Peter Shalulile has finally revealed why he has changed his goal celebration from jumping Kangaroo style he used to and changed to 'shushing' finger signals where he Puts his finger on the his mouth as if he is signalling to someone to keep quiet.

The former Highlands Park striker says he just worked around his celebration, he did not dump it completely, he said it is there and he added the finger and made is slightly silent.

Speaking to Thomas Mlambo On Metro FM's Ultimate Sports Show, the Namibian scoring matching revealed that the finger is not meant for anyone, he said he is shutting himself up since he likes doing his scoring business silently without saying anything to anyone.

He also added that he would have loved to do the Cristiano Ronaldo celebration, but he says he can't do it since he doesn’t have the muscles like the Manchester United and Portugees striker.

“The celebration is still there but I just tweaked it a little bit, l that (the finger) is for no-one, I’m just shutting up myself. I’m just quiet and moving on. I have nothing against anyone. I shut myself up and move on, do what I got to do. I wanna do that but I don’t have muscles man, for now, I’m going to keep it on," Shalulile said.

Shalulile almost cleaned the awards during the 2020/21 season where he won the Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot award after finishing the league with 15 goals, he also won the Players Player of the year award and the PLS Football er of the season, he was in fine form to help Masandawana lift their fourth League trophy in a row.

He will be hoping for replica of his performance this season, he has already found the back of the net four times in five matches, he is on the same number of goals with Royal AM's striker Victor Letsoalo.
