Transfer Update|| Former Kaizer Chiefs Star And Has Been Linked With Sundowns?

Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly interested in signing a former Kaizer Chiefs defender who is currently a free agent. According to Isolezwe, Siyanda Xulu is on the radar of the Brazilians, who have stated that they are looking for a middle back after several injuries to their regulars this season.

Xulu is now training with AmaZulu after terminating his contract with Israeli club Hapoel Tel Aviv in February.

And, given that AmaZulu is yet to make a decision on whether or not to sign Xulu, if reports linking him to Sundowns are to be believed, they may soon pass him up.

Xulu began his professional football career with Sundowns in 2009 before moving to FC Rostov in Russia in 2012. Despite spending three years in Russia, the frail defender would prefer to return to the PSL in 2015 to conclude formalities for Kaizer Chiefs.

Xulu had a dismal two years at Naturena, with the club offloading him in 2017 - the Durban-born defender would then join Maritzburg United, where he would fully revive his career.

Xulu did everything he could during his three years with the Team of Choice to get the notice of Bafana mentor Hugo Broos, who brought him back to the arrangement.

His return to Bafana also paid off, as he attracted interest from Hapoel Tel Aviv for the 2020-21 season.
