Orlando Pirates is team that is synonymous with South African football and is a giant within the sport. This is a club that has a lot of history and the chairman is an influential figure. The club hasn't been enjoying the amount of success that has been expected. This has led to speculations and pointing fingers over who could he at fault. Many have accused Stanley 'Screamer' Tshabalala of interfering and affecting the club behind the scenes
This star rose to the scene for Orlando Pirates during the 2000s, however many will agree that he didn't live up to his full potential. He has since fizzled out of the spotlight after retirement. He has always kept a keen eye on his former team and he is aware of all the things which are currently happening.
Bongani Cashibe sat down for an interview with TK Football Solutions to discuss his career. He recalled some of his fondest memories as a footballer as well as his exprience at Orlando Pirates. He also shared his thoughts on Screamer Tshabalala from first hand experience and his role at Mayfair. The star didn't hold back as he shared his thoughts on the matter.
He shared he doesn't see him leaving Orlando Pirates anytime soon. He cited his relationship to the chairman Dr Irvin Khoza as one of the reasons why he believes this won't happen. He also revealed that Tshabalala's role at Pirates is to offer insight and this is why it can interpreted as interference by the public.
Stanley Tshabalala made headlines after he was caught on camera giving instructions to Happy Jele during Josef Zinnbauer's era. He defended his role and shared that he will stay for as long as the chairman allows. He is a very influential figure in South African football and has huge roles in a lot of career and was instrumental in the foundation of Mamelodi Sundowns.
