Daniel Cardoso's staggering salary as youngster before turning pro

In South Africa we have had the privilege of having some of the best defenders to ever grace the PSL in recent times. We cannot begin to name a few without the mentioning of Eric Mathoho, Happy Jele, Thulani Hlatshwayo and Daniel Cardoso just to name a few. The listed quartet have since went to earn legendary status in South Africa.

In case of the latter, Daniel Cardoso has been one the core players at Naturena seeing them through thick and thin. Currently he is the heart and soul of the Naturena based outfit. It is without a doubt that if Kaizer Chiefs are hoping to challenge for any major silverware this season, he will one of the core players to contribute towards that.

Not to dwell so much into Daniel Cardoso current spell at Kaizer Chiefs, but we have since had the privilege to learn that from a very young he has been rolling in on the money. Like most young footballers he sacrificed his education so to focus on his football career and the move went to be one of the best decisions he has ever made.

As teenager playing for Yebo Yes United, the development and feeder side of Orlando Pirates which plays in the SAB Regional League he was afforded a lucrative salary. From a very age he was destined for greatness, according to information gathered he was afforded a staggering salary of R100K per month.

In this day and age even some of top footballers in the top tier league are not afforded a salary which he was earning back then. Some people were born blessed and Daniel Cardoso is that one special individual. Currently at Kaizer Chiefs as a seasoned footballer it is without that his salary is way more than that. No one knows what the future but Cardoso without a doubt has a bright future ahead of him.
