The race to acquire the services of the 24 year old Super Sport United midfielder is still on, and the DStv Premiership champions (Mamelodi Sundowns) appear to be the ones who are more determined to sign Teboho Mokoena amidst reports that he is sought after by Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and some football teams from abroad. As it stands Mamelodi Sundowns are reported to have made a lucrative offer to SuperSport United, Mokoena is one of the players they would like to have on their squad.
It's not clear what does Mamelodi Sundowns want with Mokoena as they already have a handful of players who play on his position and some of them have struggled for some game time, before deciding to move to a club like Mamelodi Sundowns Teboho Mokoena will have to consider facing the reality of competing against some of the best players in the DStv Premiership, and being a regular at Hugo Brooks's Bafana Bafana set up he needs to be guaranteed game time to any club he may sign for.
The amount of which was tabled by Mamelodi Sundowns has not been revealed at this moment but it can be estimated to be worth more than R10 million or more. Masandawana are persisting know acquiring the services of Mokoena, and reports also indicate that they even went as far as to offering them some of their players plus the cash amount to them, one of the player that is likely to be on the table is the out of favour George Maluleke.
Ever since moving to the Tshwane based outfit the former Kaizer Chiefs man has since struggled for some game time and it will be good for his career for him to move elsewhere. Teboho Mokoena is still a rising star in South African football and they can't afford to lose him, should he join a club that would not value his services by not playing him on regular basis.
