Opinion: Chelsea Strongest Lineup That Could Face Brentford In The FA Cup And Stand A Chance To Win

In the Carabao Cup, Chelsea will be hoping not to lose when they play Brentford on the road from home. If they keep up their good EPL play, the Blues might not be able to stay in the competition. In their last four games in all competitions, the Blues won three times and drew one time. During the game, Chelsea scored eleven goals and let in two.

Ben Chilwell scored the only goal for the Blues in the last meeting between the two teams. Against Brentford, Chelsea's German head coach, Thomas Tuchel, would be hoping for a good result. This would give them the best chance of winning a trophy this season.

Chelsea's head coach is also likely to pick a strong team for their match against Brentford.

Goalkeeper

This is a big match in the cup for Brentford and Kepa Arrizabalaga is set to start in goal again.

Defenders

Cesar Azpilicueta, Malang Sarr, and Thiago Silva are set to play in a three-man defense for Chelsea. Marcos Alonso and Reece James will play in the wing back positions.

Midfielders

The experienced midfielders, like N'golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic, are set to play against Brentford because some fringe players can't make it because they're on holiday.

Attackers

For the third time in a row, Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, and Hakim Ziyech are all set to lead the attack for Brentford in a cup match that is very important.

In my own opinion, Chelsea might lose the FA Cup tie against Brentford if Tuchel failed to select his strongest available squad in the match. I personally the German tactician to start the aforementioned players and stand a chance of progressing to the next round of the tournament.
