Chiefs outsmart Supersport in a 2 - 0 victory

Kaizer Chiefs Football Club has in the last 12 months found it difficult to win football matches, they have only managed to win three of their last 12 matches in all competitions starting from the backward of 2020/2021 season.

Chiefs faithful are worried as the club doesn't seem anywhere close to ending the ongoing six-plus years without winning a trophy, the longest run in the club history, and not associated with a club of Chiefs calibre and history.

The club's struggles in the field are well documented and surprising as well given the players they signed in the offseason, and also brought back the last man to win them a trophy, Stuart Baxter.

The 67-year-old English man had a magnificent time at Naturena during his first stint, which was from the beginning of the 2012/2013 season to the end of the 2014/2015 season. During that period he won six trophies the pick being the two league championships in his first and last seasons.

While the senior team still struggles to find winning combinations, the club's youth sides have doing their best to make their faithful happy and forget their senior team problems, and focus on the positives they bring.

Their u21 side in the DSTV Diski Challange(DDC), and u13, u15, u17, and u19 in the Gauteng Development league have had positive results in the last few weeks and brought much-needed glory to Naturena.

Chief's u17's were involved in the Engen Knockout Challenge which puts the best u17 sides against each other for a two weeks tournament. After losing in the semi-finals Chiefs and Supersport had to battle for the third spot, which Chiefs went on to win 2 nil.
