Due to injuries and coronavirus fears, Chelsea football club will be forced to play their weekend encounter without five important players (Andreas Christensen, Edouard Mendy, Reece James, Trevoh Chalobah, and Ben Chilwell). But, without these guys, how will the team's lineup look? In the absence of five crucial players, here are two probable lineups for Chelsea this weekend.
The first lineup;
Edouard Mendy is still with the Senegalese national squad in the present AFCON competition, and Kepa Arrizabalaga is expected to start in goal against Manchester City this weekend. Thiago Silva, one of the central defenders, might possibly return to the starting lineup.
Malang Sarr has the ability to play as a central defender alongside Antonio Rudiger. Due to the absence of Reece James, Cesar Azpilicueta might fill in at right full-back, while Marcos Alonso could fill in at left full-back.
Ross Barkley, who might be teamed with Jorginho, could be one of the team's central defenders. Mason Mount might play as an offensive midfielder for the club, while Romelu Lukaku could play as the side's striker.
The second lineup;
Kepa Arrizabalaga is without a doubt the greatest goalkeeper available in the club right now, and he could play as the team's goalkeeper. Cesar Azpilicueta could play as the team's central defense, and he could be flanked by the fit and available Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger.
Saul Niguez might be the team's starting right full-back, while Marcos Alonso could be the team's starting left full-back. Mateo Kovacic might play as one of the team's center midfielders, perhaps with Jorginho.
Christian Pulisic might play from the right as an offensive midfielder, while Kai Havertz could play from the left. Timo Werner seems to be in better shape than Romelu Lukaku, and he might start ahead of the Belgian striker this weekend.
