Topic: Today's good news for Mzansi

When a sports team competes outside of their home country, whether in regional tournaments, continental contests, or even international competitions, it is no longer just about them and their fans, but also about their country.
This simply means that a football club is representing its country when it competes in a tournament such as the Confederation Cup of African Football.
Last night, Orlando Pirates played in the CAF tournament's semi-final stage on the second leg after defeating Al Ahli Tripoli by two goals to zero at home. Al Ahli Tripoli won by one goal to zero last night, but that simply meant that Orlando Pirates won by two goals to one on aggregate.

The mighty Orlando Pirates have advanced to their fourth CAF final. This is fantastic news for South Africans, as one of only two teams from 54 countries with tens of thousands of football clubs will compete in the finals.
