Pitso Mosimane has not stopped rising to the top after he secured a third-place spot in the FIFA Club World Cup.
Head coach of Al Ahly, Pitso Mosimane had a tough challenge after winning the CAF Champions League. He led the North Africans in battle as they progressed to the semi-finals of the Club World Cup.
After 28 matches in charge of the Red Devils Mosimane had not tasted defeat. That all changed when he faced world class team Bayern Munich who beat them by 2 goals to no response. Not deterred, Mosimane stated that the team will go for third place instead.
The team of the century, as they are known, went on to beat Copa Libertadores champions Palmeiras by penalties. The match finished with a 3-2 score line. Mosimane expressed his joy after he was seen shedding tears of joy after their victory.

"I am so happy with the performance of my players in the tournament. We defeated the Copa Libertadores champions and this achievement is a result of the team's hard work," Mosimane said after the game.
"We achieved the goal that we all wanted. I do not want to look arrogant, but we played very well in the competition. I am looking forward to better achievements with Al Ahly in the FIFA Club World Cup in the future.
"I hope to win the CAF Champions League title this season and come back to play in the next edition of the FIFA Club World Cup. We fought to win all the games and showed the strong personality of the African champions."
